Nine Years On The Radio

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

What a special day in the life of Calvary Aurora and I want to thank you for being a part of it. It was nine (9) years ago today, that Abounding Grace, our radio outreach starting airing at 7PM on a local Denver AM radio station.

We were so excited (and still are) to be able to share God’s Word with many over the airwaves. I remember being so nervous that day. I pulled the radio out at home, gathered the family around it and listened to that first broadcast. Oh wow, it was a little difficult (like hearing your own voice?). But we finished listening and as the church phone number was being shared, I was ready! The church phone was still in our house back then I was worried that people would get busy signals trying to call. God’s sense of humor showed up as the phone was eerily silent! Nobody called. As a matter fact, nobody called for weeks! What’s up with that? It was a little lesson on trusting in Him that His Word will not return void (and a few others)!

It’s hard to believe that nine years have passed since that first Monday night, but they have. Both in Denver and around the country, we’ve had the privilege to broadcast our Bible studies on many different radio stations over the years connecting with wonderful people like you.

Where are we now? We’re prayerfully and aggressively pursuing building a full power FM station right here in Denver! Our prayer is that we will have the blessing of broadcasting Bible studies and worship 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are broadcasting online from our web site at http://www.calvaryauroraradio.com. Please bookmark it and listen in to some of the most powerful Bible teachers in all the world any time of the day or night. While you’re listening, remember to pray for the progress of our FM station and expanding media ministries. It’s not as easy as we thought. But we’re glad it’s God’s will for us and not our own doing. He’ll take care of the details.

Thanks again for your love and prayers for us. We look forward to more ministry as we await the soon return of Jesus!

By Grace,
Pastor Ed

Response
Amen brother. As I've looked to find purpose in my mom's suffering I have discovered via personal experience the true meaning of love that "endures all." Mainly, through my family who have been a shining example of Agape love by how they've cared for her over these last few weeks of her life. As she draws closer to the wide open arms of her Savior, I can't help but be drawn closer myself in the time I've spent in prayer and in His Word by her side. His Grace abounds. Thank you for your words of encouragement.
